Our aim is to offer a welcoming user-friendly space for students. The collection is clearly defined so students can access age appropriate books from Prep to year 6. Students have a scheduled library time once a week.

Our library caters to the supply of resources to over 1000 students and more than 50 teaching and ancillary staff. It contains over 46 000 individual resources, including fiction titles suited to all ages from prep to year 6, non-fiction and reference books which have been selected specifically for primary age children,. It holds an extensive Teacher Resource collection. Resources to enhance students learning across all subjects are available for teachers use within the learning environment. These include resources for Maths, English, Science and audio-visual equipment.

In addition to this, the library has small group learning spaces available for teaching staff to use with students, computers available to students and an outdoor alfresco area for use by both teachers and students.

Reading groups occur before school in the library to offer extra reading opportunities for students. This is organised by the School Inclusion Team.

Opening hours

Home Readers are changed daily, with the help of volunteers in years 1 and 2 and independently by students in grade 3 and above.
